As with every other thread on boxingscene, this one is filled with ******ed ****ing knobjobs who don't have a goddamn clue about ******** or boxing.

For the TS - if you have the $5000 and it won't break you then do it.

I've been betting thousands on Floyd to win hundreds for every fight going back to Gatti. I would estimate I've won anywhere from 5-10k doing what you are describing.

These other ****ing morons going "Man I'd never bet those odds - put some money on Maidana and hope for the best" Would be 0 for the century and be down the same $5000 over time by betting ****** ****ing underdogs who never had a chance.

so if you have $5000 to spare.. would you?
I do have 5k to spare but I would not bet on this fight.

Maidana is too big of a puncher to take that risk.

You bet to win. Otherwise you're wasting your fucking time.

You're diluting your bet by doing it that way. It's akin to playing roulette and betting on every number except one.

              You never dilute your bet.

Betting odds are created to gain earnings, people who create these lines never lose $. So pick one option.
All I'm saying is if he hedges ("insures") his bet properly, there is no way he can lose.

If he figures out the numbers properly and bets on both Maidana and Mayweather he will either win something or break even. I'm not in a position to sit down and crunch the proper numbers for him right now (I'm on the go.)

It beats potentially losing $5,000 out sheer ignorance/neglect. And th pay out sucks for betting Mayweather, with huge potential consequences. There are smarter ways to gamble rather than saying "**** it, it's ********."

For the record I would take the juice too if 5000 was not a big deal to me. I also would not worry about hedging in this case because I don't think Maidana has a chance. I just get the impression if you're asking if you should bet on a message board then you are having doubts. If you hedge you would remove those doubts.

Everyone says that about Floyd fights man. Don't you think Canelo was too big of a puncher?

Invest it in stocks. If you have 5K to spare, to potentially lose if a huge upset happens, then you probably don't need 500 bucks anyway, you got 5K laying around!

Then bet 1K on Maidana and walk away with $7500-9000 depending on betting line
