If you knew a lick about betting you would insure your bet and bet on Maidana to win as well. Potentially recover most of lost profits, break even, or even possibly come up.

    Amatures!

so if you have $5000 to spare.. would you?
Take 1/10 of that and bet it on the underdog. If you win, you've got nearly doubled your $. If you lose, you're only down to $4500

best response. Hedge your bet based on whatever odds you are getting. For example 4500 on floyd wins 450. Take the remaining 500 and bet on Maidana; if you can get better than a 10-1 payout on him the most you can possibly lose is $50. You'll probably have to bet at different sites to structure the bet properly though.

Why would you bet that much on the massive favorite? Not worth it. Better idea to bet much less on Maidana for the potentially big payout.

              No, it's a ****** bet

No matter what, never lay that kind of price. Upsets happen all the time and could certainly happen here. Maidana hits awfully hard and will be giving it his all. Sure it's likely he comes up short but that kind of exposure is simply unacceptable. If you like Floyd, bet him to win by decision which is close to even money. You can bet a lot less and realize the same return.

This is awful advice, lol. When you bet you're...BETTING. You aren't trying to "recover lost profits" or "break even" or, best yet, "possibly come up"

You bet to win. Otherwise you're wasting your fucking time.

You're diluting your bet by doing it that way. It's akin to playing roulette and betting on every number except one.

                You never dilute your bet.

Betting odds are created to gain earnings, people who create these lines never lose $. So pick one option.

I stopped betting a while ago but I never bet on Mayweather fights. No point. Bet on smaller fights with closer odds.

You would probably win your bet. You can at least hedge it to be safe. All these people saying just bet on Maidana and hope to hit big, don't listen to them. They probably play the lottery every week too. Gamble smart. Maidana is a huge underdog for a reason.
