How did he almost get knocked out? When was he ever about to get knocked out?

I find it funny how you dont mention the KD in your little breakdown. Matthysse did what he was supposed to do last night. He did NOT dominate Molina but he got the job done nonetheless. However I do agree with the second part. Did yall see Matty throwing down the middle? lol second half of the fight he showed some boxing skills, he looked like Pacquiao towards the end, but it was against Molina ofcourse. Random observation, I think the Molina last night would have smoked broner.

For reference, John Molina lost virtually every round to Mickey Bey and Hank Lundy before knocking them out. His power is world class. Nothing else about his game is tho. That was not a dominant performance for someone of Lucas' caliber.

he was hurt on several occasions. i'd even call a couple of the occasions "seriously hurt." have you ever been hit hard enough to start to wobble around? there's really not much between that and being knocked out, or being hurt to the point where a referee will stop the fight. a few more punches flush punches from a heavy handed hitter like molina would have stopped him if he didn't buy the time to recover.

ever heard the expression "ready to go?" that's what it refers to.

it wasn't a dominant performance by any stretch of the imagination. it was a war. i don't know what's so hard for people to understand, bro

Molina was "Dominating" up until the 8th round. Mattyse pulled a victory out of the jaws of defeat in rounds 8-10.
Good job Lucas for "Dominating" rounds 8-10.
The entire fight itself was not a "dominating" performace by Lucas.

For those of you who don't understand, "flash knockdowns" are pretty close to knockouts.

Lucas dug himself out of a hole and cong**** to him for winning a fight where he was being "dominated" in the first 7 rounds.

This is why he will be in the FOTY.

He was never at any point, "ready to go." Not once.

Both the knockdowns, he jumped up rather quickly and went back to work. He only wobbled once, maybe twice besides that, and again responded with his own offense rather quickly.

He was not anywhere close to almost knocked out.

Ya, and he lost every rd to Matthysse besides the KD's. Whats your point?
