Matthysse Dominated That Fight and I think Improved As A Boxer In The Process

This is the problem with threads like these. It was expected that Lucas put on a showcase and punish Molina. That was expected. Lucas did what was expected. What wasn't expected that Lucas gets touched up, wobbled, and knocked down. The unexpected happened because of Molina not Lucas so why exactly ppl are so impressed by Lucas in this fight is beyond me. Ppl just need to hype their fighters I guess. But it's ridiculous around here at times.

Matthysse won every minute of the fight besides a few power punches stunning him. If that's not dominant enough for you then fine. It is to me.
that's not entirely true. i don't do what i used to, but i had media credentials for several years. i'm not saying that i was an accomplished writer, only that i'm not a complete nobody. you almost surely wouldn't have heard of me.
i've never interviewed or covered any of matthysse or molina's fights from ringside, but i've covered fights and interviewed opponents of each man. i've covered fights on showtime, HBO, and ESPN. local TV, too. all fights were in massachusetts or CT. i won't be giving my name out, and i don't care whether or not you believe me.
i saw matthysse fight garcia in vegas. i haven't covered fights or gotten credentials in several years.

I hope Lucas stays at 140. I think he's too small for 147 if going against Thurman or Porter.
He looked tiny next to Molina and Danny was naturally bigger.
He should just rule 140. He seems to make weight fine. Some guys aren't meant to go up or just hit the max. No shame in that: you can't change your body.
He might not be indestructible, but he is one of the funnest guys to have. Let's just enjoy that instead of being imbecile fan boys

I like Mattyhsse and wanted him to give a stunning KO last night. However, I lost some confidence in him and I no longer think the Garcia fight was a fluke. Lucas showed that he still panics and will abandon his defense for the sake of hunting his opponent. This makes him incredibly exciting to watch, but also a really target and causes his ring iq to lapse.
I like the guy more than ever, as an entertainer, but his flaws were very evident last night. It's embarrassing when people lie to themselves about what they saw, just to bolster their fanaticism over a fighter.
