At what point in Floyds career did you realize he was the TBE?

Is this one of those threads that are so ridiculous that it becomes a legendary thread?

I realised Floyd was the best ever ducker after he went into a false retirement to duck Williams, Cotto and Margarito when they were at their best.

      3 ducks in one go.

The subsequent ducking of Pacquiao just cemented his status as the best ever ducker

Not yet, if he would be fighting Pacquiao, Martinez and Golovkin and win against all of them i would.

When Floyd beat Chico, Chico was in a miserable part of his life, had to face a trial and he should have moved up in weight for some time but Floyd would only fight him at 130. Also the first fight against Castillo Floyd should have probably lost (had it 115:113 for Corrales like most of the press back then), anyway Floyd is a great fighter, but certainly not TBE.

It was then that I knew the man could never lose a fight.

His career is really lacking a defining win however... beating a slow, flat-footed, drained fighter like Corrales who was dropped about 20 times throughout his career and had 6 losses by the age of 28 (including a beatdown by Clottey were he got dropped twice and nearly stopped) really doesn't do anything for me. Also, do people realize that Corrales' best wins going into the Mayweather fight were Gainer and Manfredy?

If Lara beats Alvarez in dominant fashion, perhaps a fight between him and Mayweather could be the defining moment in Mayweather's career. If Martinez looks good and destroys Cotto, a fight between him and Mayweather for the lineal Middleweight title could be the defining moment in Floyd's career (I could see it being hyped as the new Hagler v. Leonard similar to how DLH v. Hopkins was). Then again I wouldn't expect Mayweather to do either... I think we might have to settle for Khan/Collazo or someone even worse.

So you beat a guy that was severally weight drained and you go ahead and say "special" or "TBE"?

I would need to check out the rest of the resume first and then analyze.

              .

Not even top five on my best ever list, still a very good defensive fighter, who has been magnificently managed to avoid risk.

I think when he came back from retirement in like 09. When he started staying in the pocket a lot more. Not really useing his legs as much. The fight that I saw that was just a one sided shoutout for Mayweather was the one agains't Marquez. He mind f**ked him so bad that Marquez never wanted his get backs against him. Even the great Nacho was like Mayweather is a hard puzzle to solve.
