TBF to Hopkins he is approaching 50 and if he fights Stevenson, he will be fighting the best in the division. That is hardly a coward.

Who has Stevenson or Kovalev beaten?

They are burgeoning champs man, still building up their resume. There is a dispute over Hopkins' track record now?

Kovalev has HBO deal. Hopkins v Kovalev is never gonna happen.

Stevenson v Hopkins will be Bhop's final fight.
F that to many belts. Its not right to make it that hard to unify, its rediculous

Hopkins won the IBF belt off a guy who should have lost to Campillo, who Kovalev blasted out after the Trout robbery. If it wasn't for crooked judging, Kovalev would be the unified IBF/WBO champion.

I'm still waiting for the "bigger fights" @ Showtime. They have a penchant for selling what appears to be great fights to some, but many are actually second-tier fights that we fans must settle for.
I know he can't leave now, he still has a contract with HBO. But once the contract is over, there is no reason to believe he wouldn't be interested in jumping ship. Why not? If the money and big fights are over there whose to say Kovalev will stay loyal?

And as far as events, Showtime to me, has been putting on better shows.
Or at least has been trying to do so. Their cards are loaded, their main events are decent, and they're building to what could be great fights at the latter end of the year. HBO is giving us a one fight card in May between Marquez and Alvarado. (great fight)
However Showtime last Saturday gave us Malinaggi/Porter and Hopkins vs Shumenov. Next week we have Matthysse and Thurman, granted in seperate bouts, but like I said, they look like it's building to great fights in the fall.

So how can he fight the best when the best won't fight him?

If you can answer that question for me, Mr Wise Guy, then I will readily admit to being an "ignorant boxing fan"

Kovalev is tailored made for Bhop. He is a counter punchers dream. I can't believe people don't realize this fact. He is heavy handed with limited boxing skills and Bhop has one of the best chins in boxing history
