Stevenson gets paid more for a tune-up fight, than the pay HBO offered him to fight against the supposed biggest threat to his title reign. And he also gets to fight on a network that has the biggest star of the division, first ballot hall of famer, Bernard Hopkins, who holds TWO major sanctioning belts. This seems really simple to me.

He signed the week before Adonis left. Main Events/Kovalev were under the impression Adonis would sign with HBO as well.

Kovelev has ZERO legitimate fighters on his resume, who needs to be afraid of him. Him and GGG are the most overhyped guys in boxing because they have a string of KOs just like all the that Matthyse hype.
