He is no relentless machine by no means.
Really what did I miss? I did my best at translating the key points of what they said without adding perosnal opinion.Marquez emphasized foot movement from Lara as well as hand speed as the keys to this fight. He also mentioned how ultimately "smart" pressure would be too much for Lara to overcome considering Canelo has fast hands and has good combinations.

I really think Canelo wins this fight. I think he drops Lara and wins a controversial decision though. You know if the fight is anywhere near close he's getting the decision regardless. And Lara ain't knocking him out. I think Canelo will do enough to win. Still surprised this fight is even happening. Props to both of them for doing it

Did Marquez pick Angulo or Canelo?

He predicted Canelo will be too much for Lara and could possibly get the ko.

Yeah, but he usually hates on Canelo. I was just wondering who he picked for the Angulo fight.

The thing I like about Canelo is that he is intelligent about the art and science of boxing. He continues to evolve and use all the experiences he has had. People think the fight will look like Trout and Mayweather fights, but I think Canelo will use what he learned from those bouts to increase his ring savvy and his approach to a boxer who moves.

I really don't think he will have that hard of time getting some good shots on to Lara. I am not dismissing Lara because he has some really good qualities. I like his one-two, lead right and follow with the left. He has more pop than either Trout or Floyd.

But it doesn't seem to me he has a great chin. That second punch, especially, that Angulo dropped him with was an "arm" punch. Angulo hit Canelo with punches that hard and he acted like they were nothing. If Canelo hits Lara with a few bombs to the body or head and he doesn't react, then it's on.

Oh my bad I misread your question. I actually have no idea on who he picked for that matchup. It was surprising that he actually complemented Canelo I mean during the Angulo/Canelo fight he even questioned the legitimacy of the fight.

Yea if he has any visions of doing stuff like that I would say he lost the fight before it even started.

I agree with Marquez. Lara has been overrated, Angulo adjusted to him and looked to be on the verge of getting him out of there until the injury.

Lara always looks great early because his athleticism and his straight left is sharp, but he lacks versatility. You saw it with Molina, Vanes, and even in the win over Angulo. Straight left, high guard, get out of there, repeat. He gets rattled when you bring the fight to him. He gasses too.

All of that can happen no denying, but I haven't read if ginger will be willing to go through the same hell perro went? Nobody on the gingers side, specifically his fans has mention the side of the ring and the slow mat, the oral hydration clause was an issue too, Lara no more than 10 pounds and perro no restrictions, so even is you guys don't mention those "little" things they did happened and had a bearing thru out the fight, I don't think the same conditions will be recreate for Lara-ginger, cuz it will be a dog fight and we know Lara has been there, ginger we don't know how he will react, so stop with triangle theories and the outcome will depend solely in how good ginger really is...
