The one thing I know is GBP WILL NOT let Canelo lose via decision in this fight. We will see a robbery if Lara doesn't get knocked out. It could be 11-1 Lara and Canelo will still get the nod. I'll call it now, biggest robbery this year coming in July.

everyone that think that this is a "SURE schooling" are setting themselves up.
in realty this is 50/50 & lara will be in a world of hurt if he believes even half of the ret@rdation on nsb about him (believing his own hype) he would need to bring his absolute best and focus on keeping the distance or the ret@rdation on nsb will get him hurt.

Canelo will beat the **** out of Juan Manuel Cortez, and Erickrandy Lara in the same ring, at the same time.
So their assessments of possible in-fight mechanics, and wild predictions don't mean a f.ucking thing.
What we have here, is an 8 loss counter-puncher, an and over-hyped Venezuelan AMATURE boxer who would both get the piss beat out of them by Canelo Alvarez.
That is all.Last edited by SeekDaGreat; 04-19-2014, 04:49 PM.

Marquez predicting a Canelo ko over Lara in a recent Golpe a Golpe episode. Kind of surprising he would say anything positive about Canelo since he's always looked down on his career. It's in Spanish, but basically he stated how speed was the key in this matchup that if Lara couldn't maintain the distance with hand speed and use his feet movement properly he won't be able to maintain Canelo's onslaught.
They referenced the Angulo matchup where Lara was down twice ,while they dismissed any sort of triangle theory beforehand, Marquez regards Canelo as a "smarter" pressure fighter than Angulo who has much faster hands and is far more accurate. The first couple of rounds would favor Lara but ultimately Marquez believes the combination punching and accuracy of Canelo will be too much and the Cuban runs the risk of a ko.
Any Thoughts?

Lara will 100% be trying to avoid that situation, but it is a ring and cutting off the ring is not an extra hard concept to get.Last edited by -PBP-; 04-19-2014, 05:19 PM.
