Floyd no longer demands testing like he used to. He rejected all of Pacman's cut-off compromises, yet he got 19 days cut off in the Mosley fight, then 18 days in the Ortiz fight.

These are both well-publicized because Roidweather's cleaning crusade was still fresh at that time. Then starting from Cotto, the testing procedures supposedly conducted by USADA were kept secret. This from a guy who is supposed to be a sport cleaner and people expected transparency. We have zero details in the Maidana/Floyd fight. None, nada, nothing. Same thing with the Guerrero fight. hehe...

He rejected Pacman's offer of 3 blood tests and unlimited urine, which were above and beyond most so-called VADA testing that takes only one blood test. Berto and Peterson were caught via urine samples taken close to 3 months before their respective fights.

I do believe at the moment 40 million is REASONABLE. When you're the B-side and you have the opportunity to dethrone the nr1 cashcow/boxer in the world 40 million seems more than reasonable to me.

Reason being ones you win that match you(potentially) get to dictate how much your opponents get from that point on. In a rematch couldnt Pacman ask FMJ to also take the 40???
FMJ didnt make 40 million to fight Oscar but was he scared no. He knew after he beat Oscar he was the new King with all the benifits...

the record is 2.4 million buys and not many fighters can say they could make atleast 40 million in one fight atleast i repeat!!! To think a MINIMUM of 40 million isnt a serious offer is crazy to me. How can you dismiss that in a heartbeat??? why not keep on negotiating??? WHY stop negotiating???

Here is a video of Ariza confirming he was with Manny when Floyd called him. Ariza even confirms that Floyd says he is a business man and that he starts negotiations low and waits for a counter offer, and that Manny walked away from it without being interested in making ANY offer.

Im really starting to believe that people on this site want to see Manny make 3 times his highest pay day from a Manny/Floyd fight when they talk about 55-45 and 60-40 splits. If Manny's highest payday is 26 million (maybe 28 million), it sounds like his fans want him to make 75 million. Floyds "reported" highest payday was 80 million for Canelo. I doubt he can get more that a 120 million, let alone 3 times the 80 which would be 240 million.

Manny does not deserve anything greater than 65/35 considering the past money these two have made.

It makes me laugh when people say 40 million is 0% where the **** do you think that money comes from~ even if fronted that money is coming out of the event so that would not be getting 0% of the revenue it would be getting a fixed amount that is a smaller percentage as the fight makes more money but would never reach 0%. Learn some ****ing math~

Now how much was the fight worth, I saw someone say 10 times 40 million which would be 400, if it did that good that would not be a good deal for Manny but look at the highest grossing fight revenue of all time which are like 200 million, under that scenario Manny likely would be pulling 40% with his 40 million check which isn't that bad. So if the fight blows the biggest all time revenues out of the water it is bad deal, if it equals them or does less it would be just fine, if it does a bit better it would be kind of bad but not horrible.


This all could have been solved with more negotiation (with people who actually do this stuff for a living not two fighters whom barely speak English) though as opposed to walking away and crying about how the offer offended him, maybe if someone actually ever held him accountable he would do it differently.
