Also, Floyd hasn't seen a fighter with Maidana's awkwardness. The punches come from odd angles, and Maidana pounds your arms and hands when you back up (something Canelo didn't do).

If Maidana aborts the jab, and doesn't set up some work--we see the Devon fight. If he sets up some action Floyd can get caught. Floyd's legs aren't what they used to beat. He's been relying on a bit more offense in the pocket, and tucking away more than moving as of late.

I'm in the minority but I think a guy with freakish power (Maidana) or a guy with comparable speed (khan) are the only two that can maybe (maybe!) hang with Floyd. I commend Floyd for fighting Maidana. It's a tougher fight than most of know-nothing's think around here.

But, Floyd ain't stopping ****. That ship has sailed.

Explain to me what a fight that took place 14 years ago (with a journeyman with over 20 losses) has to do with my point about:
      -Floyd losing his legs
-forced to stay in the pocket more
-Maidana being a game hungry guy with weird angles

      ???

That was October 2000. Not a typo, not 2010, but 2000. Some stuff might be a little different, like Floyd not being 25ish. Awkward with power in odd punches at least has the potential to be interesting. Floyd handles conventional easily... I still think Floyd will UD, but at least Floyd could get rocked. Other than Cotto this is probably his most dangerous post Hatton / 1st retirement fight.

The only one of those four I would question would be Floydie. The other 3 are definitely winnable... and with Floydie there will be fireworks if Maidana connects with even one solid punch.

The shoulder roll will be put to the test again and you better believe it will be broken down once again.

WAR MAIDANAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Let's do this Chino. We're gonna take that mother****ers 0, let's GOOO!!

Sorry bro but you are being too optimistic about this fight. We all know Floyd can be an a$$hole but at the same time he is very skilled. Maidana is simply a mismatch. He is flat footed. Throws wide shots, his hands aren't so quick and he leaves himself open most of the time to be countered and he can be hurt with counters easily. I respect Maidana's will to win a fight but this is simply a ladder too high to climb for him. His style doesn't pose a threat to Mayweather. Adrien Broner is no Mayweather. Maidana might have some success in the earlier rounds when he has Floyd on the ropes but i can already predict that Floyd will adjust after 3 rounds or so and give Maidana a boxing lesson once he got the range right and figured Maidana out.

Oh yeah my friend I think you are the only one hyped for this fight. For me I'm tired to hear Floyd's opponent say: "Oh I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that" and in the fight night they fight like if someone gave them some money under the table to lost and make the fight super boring HAHAHAHAHA

Floyd haters need to have a concrete narrative. Does he run or has he lost his legs. He fights people how they need to be fought. He used his legs all throughout the Guerrero fight, he stayed in front of Canelo. He does what he wants to do in the ring, Marcos will be no exception.

That's because Devon came to hug maidana for 12 rounds.
