Pacquiao is just better than Ward overall regardless of W-L

Since the end of 2011 Ward has had 3 fights, Manny has had 5.

I'm not sure many would agree that he lost twice.

ok, so manny has 2 extra fights, and 2 extra losses. impressive.

its not about quantity. ward could go out there and beat up on the all brandon rios' of the world and fight 10 times this year, means nothing

All the other candidates have a good win since 2011.

Well between 2012 and today Pacquaio has beaten Bradley twice (In reality) in that time frame.

Ward has beaten Dawson's corpse and Edwin Rodriguez.

Ward wouldn't get put to sleep by a 40 year old fighter

the inactivity is a major problem but the p4p list is more than that, it's sole purpose is, who, irregardless of weight, can beat the most fighters. At 168, I don't see anyone beating Ward, p4p, there's a chance for Manny, May, or Wlad, that is slim pickings.

I do agree however, if Ward stays inactive any longer and doesn't have another top level opponent he should be dropped down.

you are right. its not about quantity.

Manny fought JMM x2 and TB x2 and Rios. Thats 4 tough fights and one tune up.

Ward fought Froch, Dawson at 175, and La Bomba. Thats 1 tough fight, a decent one, and a rios type of fight.

Not sure you are being fair on this one. Manny perhaps isnt a definitive #2, but its more Ward's reluctance to fight lately. I dont know why he thinks he is going to be able to break his promotion contract with goossen

Bottom line, Pac needs to beat convincingly beat JMM to be #2. How can a guy be #2 p4p when he's trying for a 5th time to beat a 40 year old fighter. just can't justify it
