Agreed, which is good for Lara in any case, but how many times do we see a regular champ not wanting to defend his crown, or a challenger who wouldn't like to get a shot at it?
Anyways it should be an interesting fight.

Weight divisions are a joke because most of the fighters don't really belong there. They cut weight drastically, and then rehydrate overnight. So fight night they mostly weigh anywhere between 10+ to 20 lbs more than what then the day before weigh-in.

Most of these fighters aren't like Floyd, Pacquaio, and Bradley, that only throw on a few pounds after the weigh-in. And by few, I mean like 3 lbs.

My point was that if you don't weigh in at 154 you can't be considered the champ in that division. You still have to make weight. We can have discussion as far same day weigh ins go...to avoid all that you outlined. We can also discuss going back to the original 8 weight classes. Those are all different arguments that can be had and are credible. However I don't think weight divisions are a joke because if not for these weight classes we might have some ****ed up fights going on. Worse than those scenarios you outlined above.

Well WTF is the point? So they basically going to give us a Watered Down Fight that will mean absolutely NOTHING, no titles involved or anything.

Would not be shocked if the fight is only 8 Rounds at this point

It doen;t make sense this fairy tail about the belt. With more reason Canelo should fight for the belt and regain what belongs to him. It seems is all about weight and those unbelievable excuses are what really bothers me

STHU Canelo clearly stated, he is not fighting for a "silver" belt, because Mayweather is the regular or super champion, further more he said in a los golpes that he won't be fighting for any other belt, other than the green belt (WBC) because they have been really good to him and he is grateful to them and honor them with his loyalty.

No he doesn't, I was just told by someone who works for the WBA that if Canelo doesn't care for the tittle then Lara doesn't have to pay any fees as it would be a regular 12 round fight.

Tough fight for Canelo. Lara is a tough tough fighter to look good against. If Canelo gets past Lara, he's definitely proven something in my book.
