Over the weight limit to gain advantage AGAIN!

10 rounds? So he does not have to fight the championship rounds, and his lack of stamina being exposed?

Fraud, hyperjob, dumb ***ers will pay for his PPV and support him.

This guy cant make weight, has always fought people who he could have weight/size advantage. If cant make weight, dude, move the *** up to 160lb!

    What a fraud!

I mostly agree with you, but I am sure that is gonna be a 12 rounds fight, it's a PPV after all.

I am worried about the 155 lbs catchweight and I want to know if there are any rehydration clauses.

So this fight is garbage now because Canelo might come in a pound over the weight limit which won't hurt Lara's chances of winning in any way. I'm guessing you have no problem with the 159 cw for a MW title do you? "Of course not that's different I'll pay for that ppv" (personally I can give 2 *****s about that cw as well since it won't have any effect on the outcome)

        Bro',

Seriously. Canelo and Lara they BOTH have been campaigning at 154lb for how long? yet, Canelo has the size advantage on fight night and still wants to extend that advantage even further by upping the limit to 155-156?

Cotto is a small 154lb, moving into an even heavier 160lb division. Martinez is much bigger than Cotto, and usually, comes under the MAX limit of 160lb.

Then, to make matters worse it may be a 10 round fight? Very weak brother.

I sure hope that Lara brutally beats him and KO him. Stop the hypejob.

But most of these top fighters when they were prospects, fought a couple pounds above where they would ultimately settle in. And only start making the weight consistantly when they start fighting for regional titles and in eliminators.
I already said the 154 +\- 1lb will make no difference as far as the outcome goes. I have no prob with it. Some people just won't recognize canelo as the man at 154 (should he win) if he weighs in at 155 or higher. It is what it is. Of course a bunch of fighters don't come in at weight for meaningless tourneys...but this is to see who the man is at jr middle. I personally don't even mind. I'm just pointing this out

Double standards simple as that bro if Cotto wants to be the man at middleweight don't be making excuses at how small he is. Like I said the 1 lb is having no impact of the outcome in either fight because neither fighter will sacrifice or struggle to make weight. I don't know why you keep saying it's a 10 round fight? His last fight was under the same circumstances and went 12.

At the end of the day it's better than the alternative of him moving up to mw and not even fighting Lara I'm sure you guys would have a field day with that.

OK so maybe 4 out of 5 fights. Not sure about 5 in a row.

whats wrong with a ten round fight? because of canelos stamina? according to all the haters canelo is a hype job, therefore it shouldn't matter because to everybody else lara is this god that will just beat canelo easily or ko him early in the fight,so those last two rounds shouldn't matter because lara should ko him in 5,i mean according to a lof of people on here he's just that much better than canelo...but i'll say this,if canelo ko's lara in 7 or 8 rounds or earlier then ell that talk of 10 rounds will mean nothing and that excuse goes out the window

... This can be translated with "plus 20 pounds" for a certain fighter...
You realize Lara also weighs at arround 170-172 pounds on fight night?

of course it's double standard,i don't care what people say,if cotto wants the middleweight crown, fight at middleweight,if he cant make it because he's not a middleweight fighter then stay at jr middle, simple as that, but no,canelo has a lot of hates and that's how it's going to be for the rest of his career, people just hate to see him win or become a champ,i can already see the excuses pouring in if canelo beats lara, even if he goes up to fight golovkin they will still come up with an excuse, you better believe that,or if he fights quillin too, thats how it is when you are a popular fighter
