Young fans don't like boxing, because there are too many damn champions already.

17 division 4 world champions in each division, plus interim, regular, super.... You're looking at at about 84 world champions! That's just too many.
Clearly you didn't understand what i wrote.

Props to Canelo! Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, and now Lara! If he goes 3-1 from that group, he's a top 3 P4P in my book. If he wins this fight he should be looking for Floyd or Cotto in the fall, and he'll probably get one. If he keeps gaining weight, however, he won't get Floyd, but maybe Cotto.

undefeated trout, floyd, angulo, lara.... four straight fights..... That is an oscar type schedule,,, if only floyd did the same throughout his career...

        Corrales, Hernandez, Chavez, Castillo, Castillo.

15 round championships should be bought back in to boxing.

I wouldn't say beating Lara makes Canelo top 3 P4P. But should he win, and he will, at that point I would have no issues with anyone who considers him a bonafide elite.

As for the prospects of a Floyd rematch and/or a Cotto showdown. I think win or lose against Martinez, Canelo-Cotto inevitably is gonna happen. Nelo's future is clearly in the middleweight division. And Cotto is a big check that will be waiting for him. As for a Floyd rematch. I think it would be a tough sell right now. But if Nelo were to move up and beat say Kid Chocolate for a middleweight belt. I think he becomes an attractive opponent for Floyd at that point. And with Floyd being a ****** in the middleweight divisio and the "too green" and weight drain excuses that can used to create intrigue in a rematch. But that's looking too far down the road. We got a good one in front of us in July.

So the fight is happening at 155 lbs? Can't Canelo make 154 lbs anymore?

                  Is there any rehydration clause?

One time for Canelo to get it right and screws it up again and continues to back up his hyperjob credentials.

Over the weight limit to gain advantage AGAIN!

10 rounds? So he does not have to fight the championship rounds, and his lack of stamina being exposed?

Fraud, hyperjob, dumb ***ers will pay for his PPV and support him.

This guy cant make weight, has always fought people who he could have weight/size advantage. If cant make weight, dude, move the *** up to 160lb!

                    What a fraud!

It's hard to make that point if canelo (should he win) doesn't weigh in at the jr middleweight limit. I don't think one pound will make a difference as far as the outcome of the fight goes but it does make a difference as far as recognizing one of them as the champ. I don't really care much either cause I think canelo will move up soon anyway but if he comes in at anything above 154 he can't be considered the champ at 154. I still have floyd as the champ at 154 right now but as soon as he fights maidana at 147 I think he should be stripped of that title.
I watch a lotta boxing, not just the big fights. And almost weekly on FNFs, guys come in a popund or two above the limit of the division they're supposedly fighting in. Even in the Boxcino tourneys they're doing, guys are coming in a pound or two above the light and middleweight divisions. Don't know how long you've been following boxing. But most of these top fighters when they were prospects, fought a couple pounds above where they would ultimately settle in. And only start making the weight consistantly when they start fighting for regional titles and in eliminators.
