If boxing is about doing damage, Clottey should've won the Pacquaio fight?

You score each round like it is its own fight, NOTHING that happened in any previous round should influence your scoring of a current round being scored I.E no pity rounds because someone did a little better in a round after getting dominated.

This is pretty simple, you just tally up the numbers at the end of the fight should it go the distance.

Has anyone mentioned how undamaged Pacs face looks there?

And I agree with TS though. I think we should have them fight 12 rounds and then have the ref look over their face after the fight. Whoever is less damaged wins.

I find it extremely hard to support Clottey anymore after that performance. I've seen fighters battle with themselves in the ring, which is a sign of mental weakness but I didn't even see that, I saw a man submit. Pacquiao purposely gave Clottey the opportunities as well.

You're probably correct though. Knowing as many ex-fighters that I do certainly backs up your assumption that boxing is, never has and never will be, about damage..................Rockin'
A hard punch should count more than a light punch but whether or not the punch left a mark is meaningless. The punch Marquez KOed Pacquiao with and the punch Pacquiao KOed Hatton with left no marks but were incredibly hard punches that ended the fight.

In boxing a bloody nose, black eye, bloody lip, etc. are all looked at the same as in football when the participant gets grass stains on his uniform. It means nothing to the judges or the score of the contest.............. Rockin'

It's a shame Clottey lacks that fighting spirit. He's a solid, solid fighter who could be much better.
