He was getting touched throughout, but the rate at which he was getting touched jumped in the 2nd half of the fight. You keep coming back to this 2nd round. I know he got hit, but he was never hurt in that round. As I said, that's the round Cotto realized what he was in with. He breezed by him in the 1st.

He was hurt to the body on a couple of occasions, he sat on the rope, Margarito folded him in half. Also busted his nose in that round.

Of course he got touched more in the 2nd half of the fight because he started slowing down and couldn't implement a box-and-move gameplan for 12 rounds, especially when he was taking shots repeatedly throughout. It works for Mayweather because he doesn't take punches. That will never work for a fighter with as poor a defence as Cotto.

The clinching and the pushing Margarito back in the rematch was something he should have tried in the first fight. It would have broke Tony's rhythm and gave Miguel time to rest. It's obviously something he picked up from Mosley's fight with Margarito.
