He's been touched by other fighters before that and never came remotely close to busting up like that. He had issues with bleeding inside mouth than bleeding around his eyes before Margo 1.

Margarito was never a power puncher. He was a volume puncher.

He hurt Pacquiao on more than one occasion to the head and body. Pacquaio said it was his most gruelling fight and tbh, he's hardly been the same since then.

Margarito faced two fighters in Mosley and Pacquaio who were must faster than him. Mosley clinched him to **** on the inside - something Cotto should have done - it didn't allow Margarito to get into his usual rhythm. Pacquiao's footwork kept him out of danger.

Cotto is too slow and flatfooted with too poor a defence and chin to deal with a prime Margarito.

Mosley has no power now? He hit Cotto plenty and Miguel's face didn't appear remotely as bad.

So throwing 1000 punches = landing 1000 punches? Just because he threw a lot of punches, he wasn't landing on Cotto very effeciently in the early rounds. It was the late rounds where his landed shots went up and he did most of his "damage".
