Court of law? Well no and if he was found guilty of doing what he is accused of doing i.e assualt. He would be in jail.

His trainer took full responsibility and there was never any evidence that Margarito was aware of what was in his wraps prior to the Mosley fight.

He has never been found guilty of ANYTHING with regards to the Miguel Cotto fight.

There was never a criminal case brought against him, no. When he tried to apply for a license, he was rejected. Why? Because of the findings of the California state athletic commission. Everything in there indicts margarito, hence the reason for his trainer taking the responsibility. If margarita copped to it, not only would his career be over, but his life would have taken a drastic detour with possible jail time and what have you. That was an official court proceeding.

At the close of the February 10, 2009, hearing, the commission voted to revoke each man's license. It made no finding that Margarito had knowledge of the inserts, but held him responsible for Capetillo's actions. In so doing, it relied on Boxing Rule 390 of the California Code of Regulations, which states, "Any licensee who conducts himself or herself at any time or place in a manner which is deemed by the commission to reflect discredit to boxing may have his or her license revoked, or may be fined, suspended, or otherwise disciplined in such manner as the commission may direct.

In making its determination, the CSAC imposed a doctrine of "strict liability" upon Margarito. That's similar to the position that most commissions take when a fighter tests positive for an illegal performance enhancing drug. A fighter, the theory goes, is a professional athlete. He's responsible for his body and his equipment. If someone who works for him puts something illegal into his body or on his hands, the fighter should be held ultimately responsible.

You margarito defense councilors sound like a bunch of holocaust deniers anyway. Your whole defense sounds like "since we didn't find an actual *** cooking in a furnace, it must not have happened." But there 6 million dead ***s. You idiots can draw the parallels with the plaster of Paris inserts in margaritas hand wraps

That is still not a court of law no matter how you try and move the goalposts. As it is, Tony did a license to fight again. Keep trying though, you may just finally convince yourself.

And every fighter knows what goes in his wraps. I've had my hands wrapped many times and have seen dudes getting their hands wrapped many times over that. Not one person is NOT looking at their hands. Everyone is. To think otherwise is unconscionable.

My thing is, why on earth would you load your gloves against an old version of Mosley but not a prime undefeated Cotto? Makes no sense. Also, how can margarita deny that he didn't see the blocks being put into his wraps the day of the Mosley fight? GTFO

So he needed plaster wraps to face a faded Mosley in a fight he was a heavy favorite in but he didn't against the best opponent in the biggest fight of his career just months earlier? You have to be one niave or biased fan to think that bs.
Margacheato should be stricken from the boxing record books for what he did. The man is a disgrace to Mexican fighters everywhere...
