I certainly agree with those points - but at least if the best fought each other we would have a better idea who is the best and second, as a athlete you get better by competing against people who push you beyond the point you ever felt you could go.

Bradley and Martinez aren't even as accomplished as fighters compared to Floyd Mayweather. Nor do they have his skill set, not even close.

The only fighter that rivals Floyd is Pacquaio. All other fighters of this era pale in comparison. And that is the issue with this era. There are very few truly elite fighters. Guys who had complete skill sets and so forth. Duran said this same thing. Duran said the problem with Mayweather is that he's in an era where competition is weak and he is so much better than everyone else.

Whereas in Duran's time, he feels that there were bunches of guys that could give him trouble, including himself.

the spurs and heat are both highly proven teams over a number of years. similar to guys like margarito, cotto(147), pac, bradley, martinez. guys like maidana, baldomir, and ortiz are fluke teams that score an upset win in the first round of the playoffs then get smashed in the next round. except in boxing when someone scores a fluke or upset win boxing fans think that fighter is now going to win it all and they ignore their "regular season" record of sucking. boxing fans get "last fight" amnesia. nba fans know the deal.

well bradley and martinez are certainly a lot better than ortiz, baldomir, maidana etc...bradley and martinez would be the conference championship match. maidana and ortiz would be the first round. floyd keeps fighting first round opponents over and over. it's like he forgets to progress on to the next round and just waits till the next playoffs to cherry pick another easy team/opponent.
