Is Rigondeaux THE most underrated boxer out there?

I think Guillermo Rigondeaux is one of the most underrated active boxers today. The guy is probably the greatest amateur boxer of all time and easily defeated a top ten pound for pound boxer in only his 12th pro fight. He's also one of the most technically proficient active fighters today and I honestly believe he would truly give Floyd a run for his money if they were the same size.

So why does this dude get so much hate?

          underrated..?
he went from underrated to overly (maybe not) "hyped" (excuse my choice of words here). ppl are overcompensating for his lack of recognition lol.
(AS IN PPL ON FORUMS, his fights still dont sell)

I don't see how he is underrated in terms of his boxing talent, he constantly gets mad praise as being one of the best boxers around.

He fights in a bad class, he doesn't have a large natural fan base, and he does not fight in a way that scintillates the average fan. Which is why he will never be popular but.......

Still with that I never hear anyone really say he is anything other than one of the best boxers around~

You mean amongst hbo execs and prometers? Then yes it's criminal that he's not being showcased on hbo. He's truly one of the most skilled boxer of this generation.

If your talking about this forum then no Ri-God-eaux if anything is somewhat overrated. He's being called the best boxer over guys like Mayweather and Ward with little professional experience and a non existent inside game. Someone recently suggested he could beat many WW's at his current weight.

He's the most overrated, simply due to the fact that he hasn't proven much as a pro. I'm not going to blame him for that directly (though boxing fans feel he's boring) you can't give someone such high praise based on speculation alone. He needs to get the fights with real competitors and prove himself as a pro. He probably WOULD live up to the hype if he had the opportunity.

People will always say he is overrated due to the fact he is THAT good that NOBODY and I mean NOBODY can be competitive let alone beat him.

Let me tell you pro resumes a side, Guillermo Rigondeaux is THE best EVER!
He is 10 times the boxer Sugar Ray, Duran, Ali, etc etc ever was.

He has more skill than all the above combined.

Never has that footwork, defense, precision, timing been seen before.
