He's definitely unappreciated by promoter/ network influenced media. They'll tell you "he is great but boring". As boxing fans we shouldn't settle for that weak explanation. I want to see Rigo v Cruz, Frampton, Mares, Kiko hell bring on Chemito. Let's make these fights! I'm getting sick of this "oh it's a business/ prizefighting" excuse. smdhComment

Underrated? No. Unappreciated? Absolutely. And it's not about his style either. Yuriorkis Gamboa fights (almost) completely opposite from Rigo, and he's ****ted on twice as hard.Comment

He is not very well known outside of hardcore boxing circles, but I don't know about "underrated". Actually, if anything, he is overrated among hardcore fans. He is top 3-5 P4P based on only one really good win.
He may very well be as good as he gets credit for, but he has yet to prove that he can handle a variety of styles at the highest level.Comment

I think he's a little overrated on this forum, if anything, and thats mainly because the floydspastics got a boner when he beat Donaire. The silly little ***s actually thought Donaire is Pacquiao because of their shared heritage and ever since they have gone embarrassingly overboard with this 'Skillz yo/pyo baxxer' garbage.
