I think it's a case here of too much watching boxing on TV and typing about it on the internet versus actually getting inside the ring and trying to hit someone and avoid getting hit by them. It ain't easy man. BASIC boxing requires intelligence if you're hoping to successfully apply yourself. The kind of world class out-of-this-world elite stuff that Pacquiao does requires supernatural combat sports intelligence. He just makes it look way too ****ing easy for people to understand.

lol... some people have no idea what a world class boxer must do...lol.. PAC has won over 90% of his fights and has faced world class competition for the past 10-12+ years.

It takes smarts to exploit opponent's weaknesses, to time them, and pick your spots. He's done it consistently his whole career.

this topic is showing us alot of people that have never boxed
they put alot of stock on speed, like pacquiao can just dash across the ring with pure speed, and even if the guy is expecting it, unable to do a damn thing because he's so slow lol

obviously there is a set up and his intelligently selecting his lunges for when a person has his defenses down, and i dont know of a guy so fast you can't throw with him, not many boxers are "that" slow

there was even a post comparing him to amir khan, a guy with zero defense, no little tricks in the ring, throws combo's just for the sake of throwing them, most of which quickly start to miss alot after the first 2 rd's as the opponents adjust, and his movement against guys chasing him is so terrible, really, can't believe some of the stuff im reading on here

Because you have be able to physically apply what you are thinking, if you can't do that what good is being smarter. Being smart in the ring is a very good thing to have, but it is not impossible to overcome either if you have enough other talent and have enough know how to use that talent in a proper way.

He also has good fighting instinct, which is not the same as intelligence. He was good at reacting naturally as opposed to thinking out solutions. When made to think about solution he did **** like the Clottey double punch, chase guys around tapping his gloves together in frustration, and other similar things. When guys fight him and it is a battle of fighting it out he always thrived because his reactions and instincts allowed him to.

Like I said he still is not a totally dumb in the ring because he does understand what he is and kept to what he does best, but keeping it simple is not a sign of huge ring intelligence even if it is beneficial.

You know what? Ignore them. I just put like 3 or 4 posters on my ignore list. It means that I cannot see any future posts, and they can't reply to any of mines. I am tired of the know it all's and the fanboys who have never laced them up. Truth is, Manny is an ATG and very special fighter who would beat a lot of HOF'mers around his weight. His angle punching and foot-speed are unique and have never been seen before at this level. He is the only 8 division champion in history. PERIOD. Haters are going to hate. These idiots on here judge other fighters with their heart, personal feelings involved, and not their heads. Who wouldn't like a fighter or a guy like Manny? Or Cotto? Or Oscar De La Hoya? Look at their personalities and how much they've done for the sport. They will fight ANYONE. But yet, this one guy Floyd is GOD but ducks every challenge and talks smack about other fighters accomplishments. What is he then? A hater also! Smh. The world is in a state of emergency. It seems as if the good and quiet people, get over-looked and questioned by the loud mouth *******s of the world.
