Floyd is a promoter. He has a small roster of fighters. He asked that Manny leave his promoter and sign with his promotional outfit. Floyd is seperately a fighter. He has a deal with showtime. Al haymon is his manager and negotiates his deals.

Similar to Paulie Malignaggi or Andre Ward. They are both fighters and broadcasters. They make comments in interviews as broadcasters and they make comments in interviews as fighters.

Reasonable people know this and can differentiate between the two.
