Anyway, I can't be bothered to debate with somebody who's clearly blinded by bias. You're out of touch with reality.
Thanks, i highlighted your concerns and answered with like colors, and although its 5 years ago the Pac #'s were not as good as Floyd, they were lower, i have them if you need them. Im stating facts thats what cant be debated. But I respect your opinion and I wish you well.

      Of course not.

Pacquiao is a great offensive fighter, but makes mistakes, especially if he goes out guns ablaze (obviously).

Apart from the fourth fight with the big punch KO , all fights between the two were close fights, and Pac scored several kd's; it's not like he got steam rolled 4 times.

JMM showed that Pac can be outsmarted and countered, but it doesn't mean that Mayweather would automatically beat him.

What I believe is that Pac had better chances to win a few years back , his work rate and speed made it harder to take advantage of his mistakes. He was too fast, too active, too mobile (If I remember De la Hoya said something along these lines after fighting Pac). Also, Floyd was more aggressive before his retirement.

Now, with both fighters in their mid 30's ,(if the fight ever happens) Floyd has a better chance to fight at the pace he likes, and have more time to capitalize on any mistake Pac may make.

The question that needs to be answered is this, If Pacquiao is so exciting and on Floyds level then WHY ARENT HIS PPV NUMBERS CLOSE? you dont hear of Pac breaking records....The reason I beleive May beats Pac is along the same line of thought as Abel Sanchez as ive stated for years and Pacs on chance is a KO, and because Floyd is the best defensively there goes Pacs best chance. Floyd is just a better Boxer and I think the are going to fight next year on or about Cinco De Mayo, Pac didnt renew his contract with TR and Floyd will be on his Last Fight. So be patient its gonna happen TWO guys NEARING 40! Will give you what you want and they will shake hands after the fight knowing there families futures are secure.

Basically, do you think Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao because of each fighter's performance against Juan Manuel Marquez, a common opponent?

                Marquez definitively beat Pacquiao.

                But...

                Marquez definitively lost to Mayweather.

So, does Pacquiao lose to Mayweather because of this?

Pacquiao and Marquez are evenly matched, with the slight edge in favor of Marquez.

Whereas Mayweather and Marquez was a mismatch.

In this screenshot of a YouTube comment, a guy uses mathematic logic to rationalize why Pacquiao would lose to Mayweather.

In mathematics, this is known as the transitive property.

Floyd Mayweather > Juan Manuel Marquez > Manny Pacquiao

                Therefore,

                Floyd Mayweather > Manny Pacquiao

                A > B > C

                Therefore,

                A > C

To me, this reasoning is flatout wrong. Styles make fights, and Pacquiao gives Mayweather all sorts of problems, resulting in a win by decision or a win by TKO. Triangle theories are not true in boxing. If they were, George Foreman would have beaten Muhammad Ali.
the mayweather that beat marquez got the foot speed that nullify what pacquiao has. the mayweather that beat cotto, guererro, and canelo got slower hands and foot speed. mayweather knows he had slowed down. if he has'nt fought pacquiao in 2011, he will not fight him now.
if pacquiao can beat bradley, it means that he has enough reflex to beat the much slower floyd. again fight wont happen.

"You got Mayweather, an African American that don't give a damn that's a faster fighter than Pacquiao is. I think he would have beat the daylights out of Pacquiao, but I knew what I was doing by avoiding those types of fights for Pacquiao".- Murad Mohammed (Pacquiao's promoter B4 ARum)

This young man has the teqhnique and the ability which puts him in my book ahead of such greats as Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler and all the other great fighters that I’ve seen in my career. And there is NOBODY that combines all the skills of Floyd mayweather." -BOB ARUM

murad was pacquiao's promoter before the barrera fight(not much prime black fighter at those weights at the time). he was sour graping when pacquiao left him for arum.

arum also said that pacquiao is the greatest boxer ever. arum hype up his fighters eg. he said that floyd was the greatest ever when he was promoting floyd.

Anyone can do that to a weight drain fighter they don't have the same strength as usual but let me guess science wasn't your best subject
