Why do fighters with power get hyped up without proving themselves?

Because power is easy to understand, thus is easy to like.

I like fighters like Rigo , I like to study their movements, their way to set up a punch, yet I'm sure there are still many subtle moves I miss.

It is not easy to understand why they manage to not get hit, so these kind of fighters are often labelled as boring or runners.

On the other hand , many people, myself included at times, are too fast in judging a guy with power and label him as a "crude brawler".

You realize Stevenson hasn't beaten any better fighters than Kovalev, except for maybe Chad Dawson? And considering Dawson was coming off a weight drained beating where he was stopped by Andre freaking Ward, I wouldn't consider that very impressive.

Floyd has beaten OVER 20 CHAMPIONS, and top fighters you guys always saying this person or that person is gonna beat Floyd then when he embarrasses them, "they wasnt anything". heres an example
