    He didn't fight Delvin Rodriguez!

Cotto fought Delvin, who was basically a walkover.

Ward fought Edwin, who is no walkover fighter.

So Showtime offered Stevenson twice more money for Fonfora than HBO were offering. It's clear what happened here, Showtime simply outbid HBO. There isn't much more to add.

I don't blame them for getting their money. I just don't understand how stevenson/kovalev got offered 2 mill.

That seems to be on HBO.

Do you that have contributed to 11 pages of posts here realize that, other than the few comments made publicly, none of you have seen any physical evidence that would support either parties claims? This is all just idle gossip.

He's got another middle man now collecting on his behalf, and how many middlemen does Haymon also have? You are going to fight Bhop, yeah well let's take a wild guess who is going to make the most money in that equation..certainly not stevenson. So yeah it may seem on the surface like you are getting more money but the reality is Showtime will be ok with giving him a few more tuneups and that's the problem...won't be no rush for a Bhop fight either because well it's not how Haymon works. We'll see more adonis against a few differently named versions of Fonfara before we even see a Bhop showdown...That is the only reason they left HBO. They tried the same shhh with Broner, let HBO make him a name..then when HBO wanted him to step up competition he left for Showtime..in Broner's case Karma got him via the name 'Marcos Maidana'.
You have to be the biggest HBO/Top Rank groupie on here. AKA Pac nuthugger. I seen all of your post and you only diss black fighters. You only talk shyt about Floyd, Broner, Haymon, etc... You are straight pussie. "How Haymon gets down?"

Man shut your corny ass up! Didn't Haymon put both of his fighters Garcia vs Lucas against each other? Didn't Haymon put Broner vs Maidana who was a power puncher at that division? Man you are a ******** clown. I bet your punk ass thinks Michael Konz is a better adviser than Haymon you clown. I don't know if you checked the earlier post about Stevenson/Kovalev but I bodied you on there. As a matter of fact I will copy and paste just to refresh your memory.

HBO asked about the potential of a Kovalev-Stevenson fight after the Stevenson-Fonfara fight and Haymon said absolutely not. He would only allow the Stevenson-Fonfara fight to take place on HBO after a 40% increase over what had apparently been agreed upon for the fight to take place on HBO initially. Haymon had no intention of ever allowing the Stevenson-Kovalev fight to take place, he wanted Stevenson to fight BHOP from jump street.

That's not true. They wanted HBO to match Showtime's offer, HBO confirmed this and they decided to pass.

Michel was pretty clear a deal would have been done if a fight with Kovalev if they received a license fee like Ward-Rodriguez. It's an embarrassment that Stevenson-Kovalv was offered 2 million and Gamboa was set to make 1.5 for Garcia. And that fight fell apart because Garcia did not receive his requested 1.7. Rios, coming off a loss, got 4 million, nearly double of the entire Stevenson-Kovalve fee, for Pacquiao.
