I bet in the months leading up to Pacquiao-Mosley our buddy JoeMan here was telling us all about how Showtime was the best and HBO was inferior.

      Isn't Showtime a subsidiary?

Showtime is owned by CBS. HBO is owned by Time-Warner Cable.

            It is getting quite silly!!

HBO vs Showtime -- TR vs GBP -- IBF vs WBA vs WBC vs Ring

I think Boxing as a sport is getting lost in the mad shuffle and the wider the divides become, the less good quality fights the fans will see over time.

I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes like others have mentioned.

Just as a viewer, I have feel like SHOBOX has taken a dip. That was the home for a lot of young talent and I don't get the same feel from it lately. One time it will be prospects, and others times it's not.

Seeing J'Leon Love back on SHOBOX in a showcase fight, after failing a drug test, and failing in his step up bout against Rosado made me really annoyed. I really am not one to complain about this sort of stuff but..that one pissed me off.

All in all, they have done a great job in rebranding Showtime Boxing and a lot of the most popular fighters. I like their approach in that department, but when boxing takes a back seat to that then I start to get concerned.

Where are all those closet classics that Showtime was notorious for? I miss those fights.

I agree with you on shobox. I used to be amped up Friday nights to watch those cards. They had Hatton, Bradley, angulo, Kirkland, etc. Now it's just a showcase of 30 year old fighters promoted by Mayweather promotions.

It ain't the same at all. Think showtime sold that as part of Floyd agreeing to come there.

Same thing with HBO's boxing after dark, it isn't as good as it was just a few years ago. I would love to cancel both of them so they can get the message that they need to get back to what made them popular but I need my fix..so I keep them
