I didn't say that. I just used them as examples. Chavez and Duran are also exceptions.

Diaz is a tough veteran I wonder how Thurman is going to deal with him. Thurman needs to step up to see If hes only good in beating up dishwashers and stay home dads. I am pretty sure If GBP wanted, they could have got him guerrero but they are too busy trying to hype up fighters and then cash out on them.

I wasn't in any way trying to discount what they did. The point was that early resumes of fighters are often elevated when they shouldn't be.

Holyfield, floyd and SRL fought better fighters earlier in thier careers, but not at a younger age, than Chavez and Duran. Thurman, in his 22nd fight, is fighting better comp in his 22nd fight than srl, chavez and duran did. Yes he is older.

In no way was I disparaging duran or chavez.

now that Ive calmed down and realised this is Julio and not Juan Diaz (yeah I'm that dumb, what about it? I was pissed though, making a returning fighter move up two weights lol) I dont think this is an awful fight in the circumstances.

Julio Diaz gave Porter and Khan good competitive fights and its not like Thurman is a huge name who can pick and choose who he fights. Better to get in the ring than wait around for a better opponent.

For Matthysse, I dont know a huge deal about John Molina. His career has somewhat passed me by. As a dutiful Matthysse fan boy though I predict a KO in two. No question.

edit: I see Molina fights at LW. Not a good start lol. I hope Matthysse can get a fight with Herrera soon, thats the fight I want to see at JWW. Assuming Garcia wouldnt fight LM or MH soon.
