In a recent interview, Stevenson asked for the right money -- because "he was putting his life on the line"!?!

Knew this was going to happen...

Hopkins was on a boxingscene video posted today implying several times that is going to be the undisputed light heavyweight champ. He wouldn't have done it if he didn't think it could happen. He's brought up the network/promotional feud before as an excuse before (which was legit) to not entertain matchups.

people who say fighters aren't scared are just wrong. of course they are scared. they are human. stevenson isn't going to make tons of money against hopkins since he's not even a big draw. he could have taken the lions share against kovalev who fights for cheap but went the easy route. less money but an easier fight=al haymon

well he won't be undisputed since kovalev will still be around and everyone will know stevenson ducked the sh-it outta him so it's kinda an empty title if he did win. like floyd beating baldomir when everyone knew margarito was clearly #1 for years.

              uh, since always.

              Hopkins- Pascal (sold out)
Hopkins-Pascal II 1.8 million viewers (sold out)
              Hopkins-Dawson II 1.6 milion viewers ($802,160 gate)
              Hopkins-Cloud 1.2 million (12k in attendance)
Hopkins- Muray 1 million on Showtime (8k attendance)

Don't think there's a bigger American draw than him other than Mayweather.

If Stevenson had actually wanted Kovalev that's the fight we could be talking about right now and you know it's worth more than Fonfara.

Now he's going to run over to Shotime and get hugged out of his title by old B-Hop instead.
so blame Stevenson and not HBO, cool

Stevenson is overrated. Hopkins that fought tarver would have knocked Stevenson out . The 49 year old Hopkins UDs him
Hopkins UD's Sergey as well, even if you refuse to believe it

Stevenson made fun of Kovalev by saying he fights because he needs the money, and then he does this ****.

I hope this means he fights the winner of Hopkins-Shumenov, then fights Kovalev for the undisputed LHW championship.

Wait.... what are these numbers based on?
The first fight was a PPV

                      You mean the second?
