why do people keep saying this? Atleast wait until Canelo fights someone else before they start saying this. He fought a good guy in Trout, then loss to Floyd, had a rebound fight with Angulo. Thats all natural. If he doesnt fight him next, then you can say something but not now. You cant even say nothing next if Lara has already signed to fight Ishe

also, if canelo admits he is fighting low risk opponents as tune up fights he will looks better. Instead he said lara dont deserves him, he has to wait his turn on merits and so on. He better have to say he is not ready niw for lara because he thinks lara will buried him like rigondequx did to nonito, who btw, said begore the fight all of those things about rigo

Smith has the potential to beat anybody @ 154lbs but his skills and knowledge does not match his vision of placing shots!!! Lara is the smaller man !!!

canelo have been avoiding orbducking larabsince he fought vanes. Now they are praying lara wins this fight with smith not in a convincing way to have another excuse to duck lara as he did when he draw with vanes. I dont get any of your responses to me. I dont get the hate at all for Canelo. How can he be ducking Lara since the Vanes fight? That makes no sense. Lara fought Vanes who is an ok win. Trout beat Cotto who is a much bigger win. The Trout fight was easily bigger then the Lara fight. He picked Trout (which no one thought he would) and he won the fight. After Trout he fought Floyd. There is no way you can say he ducked Lara unless you are strictly talking about the Angulo fight but you have to be reasonable.

1st off he was coming off the 1st loss of his career so its not wise to fight Lara in the 1st match back. 2nd and most importantly, it was Canelo's 1st PPV as the lead attraction. Angulo is Mexican, action packed, and gave Lara trouble. Its not unreasonable to see why they chose him.

People can hate but Canelo has genuinely tried to make fights with guys like Cotto, Kirkland, and Williams. Genuinely. I dont think he has any kinda fear of Lara. I truly think that he puts him in nearly the same bout as Trout. Even if GBP or his team dont want Lara, I could see Canelo asking for it just like he did the Trout fight.

The problem now is Lara has seemingly singed or is close to signng to fight Ishe so how can you say Canelo is ducking again if he has this fight set even before Canelo beat Angulo? Again, Canelo's next opponent is the only time you can say that he is ducking Lara but the Smith fight makes that even hard ot do. I personally think Canelo has no fear and he will fight Lara next unless he gets the Sergio-Cotto winner (which you cant blame him)

Smith is more a journeyman. He can fight! Lara has done very well in keeping his name in the light but there is truly nothing spectacular about him. I do believe Canelo is a better fighter..

Ishe is absolutely correct. Lara is no boogyman. He's just the newest guy that Floyd's haters can b1tch about him ducking. And he's also doubling as the guy those same f.ucktards are using to **** on Floyd's most recent win. That said, he's gonna beat Ishe like a drum.

On a sidenote, I thought this one was gonna be on the Floyd-Chino undercard.

Solid post but your forgetting Lara never beat Vanes they drew. That was a WBC title elimination fight where neither guy was able win convincingy . That allowed GB to look to make a fight with guys like Williams, Kirkland, and Ortiz who either turned it down or suffered an injury.

Beating Vanes would've put massive pressure on GB to give him the title shot against Canelo , but as always is the case he failed to impress against good opposition. The ridicoulus thing is he wants the Canelo fight so bad yet for some reason his team signs him up to fight a guy before Canelo even fought Angulo knowing beforehand his next fight will be in June . A pointless fight against a guy no one wants to see in Ishe Smith who's coming off a loss.
