I don't think it was a bad night,i think those are just excuses some boxers use when they lose, you can't have a bad night, just a better opponent in front of you,i mean that's what training camp is for,to prepare for the opponent you will be facing, after a couple of rounds and if you losing that's when you change or do something differently, thats what your trainer is for,to tell you what to do,to adjust to the fight and do something different, but no,they don't because the opponent is doing his thing better, and after the fight it's just easy to say it was an "off night" I don't believe in that,it's just an excuse

follow this man on twitter. he's earned it over the course of several years, not just the garcia fight. his fights with alvarado and provodnikov were also tremendous. he beat provodnikov is a brutal, great fight.

herrera is a very good / tricky boxer with a great chin. that's a tough nut to crack. it's a rough style for almost anybody.

if there's a comparison that i'd make, it's between he and paulie malignaggi. malignaggi is a two time champion, and a multi millionaire.

paulie is more of a boxer, and herrera more of a defensive specialist.

Quite a few external factors played a huge part in the outcome of that fight so it made Garcia look better than he really was. It was 80% luck, 20% skill.
I think that yes old pop Garcia psychologically got under Khan's skin (with all the junk he talked about Amir's origin) but the UK resident fell for it besides showing a weak resistance and/or chin. Regarding Herrera there is no doubt that he won clearly and my only concern is that Mauricio is almost 34 yrs old and I think that he shouldn't take very long to get another crack to a title. The clock is ticking and whether or not we like it Herrera skills won't be there for long. That is why the lack of justice to Herrera is even more notable.

Danny's gonna be fine. He was fortunate that Khan walked face first into a perfect hook and his shot him to stardom. He was also fortunate that a very tough, but limited fighter in Mayyhysse had convinced the world he was some sort of killer. Danny's a solid fighter, but he's an overachiever. Most on this site with knowledge of Herrera predicted it would be a tough fight for Danny. Danny's rep took a bit of a hit, but that's not a bad thing. Now he can comeback down to Earth a lil bit and proceed with his career. If anything, he needs to listen to his dad. Angel is well aware of Danny's limitations, which is why he's been careful in how he's matched him. Danny needs to stay at 40 as long as he's physically able to make the weight. He's the champ there. The shine isn't as glossy, but he's still a force in that division. On the other hand. In the welterweight shark tank, he's just another guy.

Evidently, Herrera and his manager trying to make a rematch....but if he can get a vacant shot if Danny moves up, he's fine with that
