There were a lot of close rounds...with that said, I seen the fight 3 times and still can't justify giving Garcia 7 rounds, where as you could make the case for Mauricio winning 7, 8 or maybe even 9...but again, a hand full of close rounds.

Danny got a a bit of a gift, hopefully he can learn from it and put in the past with some impressive wins in the future.

As for Mauricio, hopefully this will give him another title opportunity, one in where judges see him as a legit title contender and not just some resume fodder for another fighter.

I meant to put quotes around the second "lucky." I didn't mean to imply Garcia got lucky in several fights, more that he was expected to lose in several fights and managed to win. Khan and Matthysse are the two big examples. Many people expected him to lose against Morales in their first fight, and others thought Judah would expose Danny.

For the record, I'm not a big believer in "lucky" punches; unless, of course, the winner closes his eyes and delivers a "Hail Mary." The way I see it, one guy leaves himself open and the other guy takes advantage of it.

I didn't think Zab stood that much of a chance knowing his reputation but he definitely closed that fight out. The evidence of Danny being mostly hype was there but it is what it is.

Finally seen the fight.

Scored it for Garcia. Which I'm shocked about because from reading the comments the past week I expected a shut out or something close.

Pretty obvious close fight that could have gone either way from what I see.

No, what happened was a clear win by that underdog. When such a huge majority of boxing fans and journalists all see the same thing-a Herrera win-yet the judges saw something entirely different and unrealistic, I'm glad when articles like this acknowledge the true winner's efforts.

If you really believe that such a large majority of people think Herrera won out of dislike for Danny Garcia, then you're wrong.

Been reading this all week but I simply cannot see how this fight was a "Clear" win.
