I don't think top rank has a choice they have to put Vasyl in there. TR has said that they're paying Vasyl substantially, their not going to pay a guy whatever their paying him to fight no hopers. To justify that money they gotta put Vasyl in title fights.

I don't think he had a belt but he might have held a top 10 ranking (7th?). The only thing about the opponent I really remember was Max and Jim talking about how he didn't get paid last time he fought. I guess that's your clue as to how well known and respected the opponent was.

i am here to tell you that i am willing to bet all of my points on russell if this fight is actually made (I've been studying lomachenko since his fights in wsb) I honestly don't think the fight will be competitive at all..........i think salido would give russell a tougher fight vs lomachenko. lomachenko fights too much like an amateur to be competitive with russell......thats the perfect style match to destroy him as a fighter. (make a sticky of this comment because i will certainly put up my bets)

Well if Top Ranks pays Loma well, it's because they expect a return on investment. But to get that, they need him to win and impress. Against Salido he lost and looked bad. What if Loma loses again?
Top Rank usually bring up theif prospects slowly and they've been doing well. Why change?

It's quite funny that Lomachenko, with two fights, has a more impressive resume than Russell who is nothing more than a fraud at this point.

The Russell hype will end after this fight if he has the stones to face Lomachenko.

Lomo will have 3 to 4 loses by the time he has ten fights ,said it before he doesn't have enough experience as a Pro nor does his father has the knowledge to take him to a define level. I just don't see the need to push this guy into destroying his career.
