(make a sticky of this comment because i will certainly put up my bets)
I'm not especially confident of the outcome; but for that kind of bravery (all your points), I shall reward you with 2:1 odds if/when the fight materializes. Hit me up then.

Lomachenko dealt with guys like Russell a lot in the AMs.. Felix Verdejo is probably better than Russell for example.

Russell suffered an undisclosed injury upon hearing the news.

Russell has pulled out of other mandatory fights with far less skilled opponents like Luis Franco so why would he stop now.

Lomachencko is fast becoming a legend in the sport.

This is what the sport should be about continually testing yourself in competitive 50/50 fights, going beyond what is expected.

We gotten far too use of boxers taking the easy option frightened to lose their unbeaten record and short change the fans in glorified sparring bouts.

Hopefully other boxers will follow the Lomachencko route.

Let's hope Russell doesn't turn it down, not good for Russell or the sport.

I don't know another boxer who has taken a tougher first 3 fights.

If he continues like this, who knows.
