Of course this biased idiot would defend 116-112 Garcia. Gotta have it on record in case Floyd comes calling.

I don't understand? I thought Lyle preferred civilized boxing over power punching? I would assume he loved Herrera's civilized skill that won him this fight instead of Garcia's clumsy power punches.

This article uses a lot of space to defend the author's belief that Danny Garcia won Saturday's fight, but it doesn't actually say much.

Instead of trying to portray everyone who thought the decision on Saturday was wrong as some sort of conspiracy theorist, it would have been far more insightful if the author provided his scoring for the fight round-by-round, with an explanation of why he scored each round the way he did.

Personally, while I'm open to argument that Garcia eked out a victory or more reasonably a draw, I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone watching the fight with vision in both eyes could have identified only 4 rounds in which Herrera outboxed Garcia.

So here's a challenge to boxing writers like the author: when there's a controversial, widely-criticized decision that you agree with, why not demonstrate your savvy by walking us through your score and convincing us that the judges got it right? That would be a lot more interesting.

Excactly, his defense is that he isn't Puerto Rican, paid for by GB and it has happened before? I cannot find one single argument that's understandable about the judges and his own decision.

So I just had a convo with a co-worker of mine ( which is also Danny's cousin) and he told me that Dany lost the fight. He also told me that Daddy yankee was making $50,000 bets with a producer in the back in which Danny said that he didnt feel comfortable him making such a huge bets because they were gonna go round by round and Danny didnt want to feel bad for losing rounds. IDK, take it for what its worth. ( could be worthless, just my addition to the convo).

Anybody who believes that Garcia lost due to being weight drained is dumb and naive. It's the same bs reason Khan has been giving for getting KTFO. Garcia has good power but he's not a great boxer. He beat a bloated faded Morales, a faded Zab, and was getting outboxed by Khan before he landed the nice hook. Full credit for beating Khan but just pointing out Khan's speed was too much. I really hope Danny boy doesn't get Floyd, it'll be a massacre. Herrera simply outboxed him, I don't believe it was the weight, not for one minute.

If you wanna win in PUERTO RICO you gotta do what Orlando Salido did to Juanma and KTFO the local fighter and even then, if the fighter gets up they will argue a early stoppage. If the same thing happened in MEXICO the fans would turn against their fighter because they have no tolerance for BS.

I bet it's things like this that contributed to Danny's sub-par performance. Maybe he isn't mature enough yet to be the A-side on a big stage. He's usually been the underdog (or the lesser-known name) in his fights. Maybe his dad has protected him with his big mouth so much that he's not ready to speak for himself at the highest level...

I dunno about the betting stuff, but if everyone is looking at you to be the man and whoop azz, that's a lot of pressure. Dad can only take so much of that pressure off, the rest is on you.

I still like Danny, I just think he choked and got too nervous at his own party.
