I bet it's things like this that contributed to Danny's sub-par performance. Maybe he isn't mature enough yet to be the A-side on a big stage. He's usually been the underdog (or the lesser-known name) in his fights. Maybe his dad has protected him with his big mouth so much that he's not ready to speak for himself at the highest level...

I dunno about the betting stuff, but if everyone is looking at you to be the man and whoop azz, that's a lot of pressure. Dad can only take so much of that pressure off, the rest is on you.

I still like Danny, I just think he choked and got too nervous at his own party.

I am 100% PRican, yet I try to be as un-biased and truthfull as I can be. I don't know why I bother when this forums are filled with ignorant comments but maybe I share my opinion with the few that are not fan rants.

My Scorecard: 115-113
Was it a close fight, Yes? Did I doubt Danny won, nope. Danny is a very average fighter which has very few weakness but is not great at anything in particular. Therefore he is not used to be the one creating the fight, he is much more confortable as a counterpuncher as the "underdog", and clearly showed that he is stil not ready to simply be a super-star that can make the fights on his own. Yet he gives trouble to anyone he fights.

My main believed of why people are outraged with the scorecard? Showtime commentators? Men this people are just bad as commenters and I have yet to agree with any of their scorecards results in the mayor fights. I definetely miss the days of HBO monopoly. BTW I could care less about brands but the HBO crew its just more professional at their job. I encourage you not to take made word for it and simply go watch the fight and score it round by round, and you will see that it was a close but clear win by Danny. Who simply didn't shine and deliver what people expected.

As an example of me not being biased. Cotto-Trout fight. All I saw was a boxing clinic by a bigger boxer with great boxing skills, and a Cotto who just fought againts a guy he couldn't reach. I saw it 12-0 rounds or 11-1 to be modest. Showtime commenters had it super close almost a draw for most of the fight. This is just one of many more examples. The best way to score fights is to watch it again the day after where no emotions or pre-judgements are being made. You will see a whole different fight most times.

Maybe in a day where boxing is not scored by Rounds can a guy like Herrera can win this type of fight.

It's simple. Danny is a star and will receive hate as a star would. He has beaten the best in the division yet we will throw him under the bus if he shows he is human.

He didn't lose the fight, most of his haters and followers expected way more from him in this fight,we expected a KO within 6 rounds, when he didn't come thru, we viewed it as a failure.......and still no real talk about how good Herrara is,,it's all about the star.

The sport and even the journalist are becoming a joke it seems like the both fractions back each other up to drum up false popular belief. By what definition can anyone say Garcia won that fight...all the latest popular boxing quote tossers where ya'll at? This is the shhh that's really killing the sport, mofo's can't get three journalists to just keep it real with the public because god forbid we piss off the players. We may lose access to the press conferences and training camp invites. They booed this fool up out of puerto rico, hell they booed him at the arena. If herrera was any kind of name these same dudes would be hollering like crazy about "disgust" and whatnot. Same shhh that they let broner get away with twice in fights he clearly lost or came to a draw on but somehow got wide wins on the cards...Then when these dudes get exposed it's "He never lived up to his potential" well that's because you sold fools a god who was barely a peasant.

Despite the profanity, this post was a pleasure to read and much better than the article in this thread
