Some boxing writers sometimes need to be poetic -- especially when they have lived in Philly or Chicago... Unfortunately there's not much poetry to be perceived as emerging from the Garcias...

Brandon Rios was nowhere near as big as Garcia was when the Abril robbery occurred. So while a lot of fans saw the fight, there was also a big portion who did not. GBP also promoted the Garcia-Herrera fight heavily. Top Rank did a nice job of hiding the Abril fight from everybody in the build up to the first Alvarado fight. They rarely mentioned it.

Bradley didn't jump into the Marquez fight immediately. He had a fight with Provodnikov first, which did pretty good numbers. 1.2 M. Then when the fight unexpectedly turned into a FOTY, after Bradley sacrificed his body. THEN he got Marquez. But he had to pay for it physically and emotionally.

You would be a critically acclaimed boxing writer, though some of the average readers would have misplaced angst with your poetic-ironic style.

I really don't think Danny should move up to WW just yet..This sport is about timing..The timing for a move to WW is all wrong imo,Danny should stay at 140lb and have one more big fight..Take on Peterson,if he get's the win then move up..I would not wanna move up on this note if I was handling Danny..

I disagree the time is now. Is a Peterson fight worth risking if your already struggling with the weight?

Sorry Lyle Fitzsimmons, but when you have the champion confused, bleeding and retreating from the fight, he shouldn't get the nod.

You may not be on their payroll, but you're blind.

in the sport of ''boxing'' it seems ''out boxing'' the champ isn't considered enough to get the nod, considering all last week it was ''4 round ko'' and ''easy work for dsg'' can't forget my personal favorite ''who is herrera? why is Danny fighting this bum?''

No way, you can't even make the case that danny was landing power punches over herrera's jabs unless you are blind. Danny's "power" punches were being blocked and avoided the entire night. This was a abril-rios type robbery. Not quiet as bad but the same type.
