Not educated? How? I asked you a simple yes or no and yet you can't answer.

    Is that educated?
Classic Mannyp behavior, you deterred my question and have yet to respond.

So let me ask you once more; If a fighter like JLC gradually jumped up to fight a middleweight like B-hop and lost, would you base his ability on that loss or on the rest of his career?

Ok. Since you want to get owned. I hate to point this out. And I really want to break it softly to those naysayers like you.

You're question is a mere what-if. A mere what-if could be answered by a could have, would have, should have, BUT ULTIMATELY DIDN'T.

If a fighter like JLC steps into the ring and lost to a b-hop? It depends on the matter of losing. If JLC lost thru quitting in one, getting beatup in the other, and of course, the classic KTFO'd on the third, then I will base my arguments on that.

      Returning to my post.

Duran vs Hagler = beat beat beat
      Duran vs Hearns = KTFO'd
Duran vs Sugar = "no mas" quitter

That is how I base my arguments. How do you base yours?

And also, for the last time, I'm not Manny P. Pinoys have that natural trait of wisdom and common sense which seems lacking in other races.

Duran fought Biggers guys above his weight class.
same as Pacman came from 106, and make a name at higher classes.
Duran lost to all three of those guys

What is with all these articles comparing Pacquiao to Duran all of the sudden? Duran is a legend, Pacquiao is great but still has quite a bit of things to accomplish to be a legend like Duran.

Why is Manny so highly rated?

he was beaten by Morales, so it is 1 win for both fighters
He got a draw with Marquez, and never won
            Tko'd Barrera.....

So far he has had 1 draw, and 1 loss and 2 wins..

certainly better than Duran going 1-4 against the best 3 opponents he ever fought don't you think?

The point of this thread is simple.

PAC is being compared to Duran as a poor man's version of the latter which to my mind seems to be a blatant insult. Skillwise, PAC is a lot more skilled than DUran ever was.

As for accomplishments, although I admit it is still premature but still, PAC is barely halfway on his career and he has dominated the lower divisions like no other fighter before him ever did.

Results wise, that's already better than Duran ever achieved.

He beat Leonard. And Yeah he lost fights..

Have you seen the Duran v.s. Hagler fight? LOL

Hearns was a bad matchup at the time. Too tall and strong.

                      I can't believe what i am reading,

if pac fought floyd at 135 and won even once
then he finds a prime zoo (but faster, with longer reach, and better skills) at 140 and gets koed in 2 rounds by a right hand
then he goes to 147, squares it off with ... (I can't think of anything like hagler at 147)

then pac is on the same train
