Yes no comparison, but they have similarity in opponent rivalry.

    Hearns,Hagler,SRL

    MAB,Erik,JMM

Duran fought Biggers guys above his weight class.
same as Pacman came from 106, and make a name at higher classes.

Being great is not just about one thing but a lot of things.....Duran reigned the lightweights in the 70's (1972-1978), defended his belt 13 times....very hard to accomplish!

I will just reiterate the points.

Duran is a "no mas" quitter and he got beat by all the elites of his era. And he got beat bad. It's either via a humiliating decision or a KO or he got so frustrated he quit.

A lot of people point out the Duran's greatness emanates because he had numerous titles on different weight divisions. Fine, if that's how you base your arguments, fine with me.

But the bottomline is, he lost to all the elites of his era. And the only reason why stayed so long is because in his prime, he handled his money affairs so bad, by the time he realized it, he was already broke as brokeback. He stayed so long only because he needed the money.
In your opinion, if Pacman fought at 140, or 147 and was KOed by Mayweather, Hatton, or Cotto, what would you say about Pac?

I don't know if Pacquiao can exceed Duran. Let's remember Duran's career wasn't just his prime, it was his longetivity. In 1989, Duran beat Iran Barkley for the middleweight title. Thats incredible given that he won his first title against Hall of Famer Ken Buchanan at Lightweight. He beat Ray Leonard, went to war with Hagler, Ortiz, and every other fighter of not from the 70's and 80's. However, Pacquiao never quit in a fight. Lets see, the next 5 years will tell about Pacquiao's legacy.

          Pacquiao's 3 best fights:

          Lehlohonolo Ledwaba KO6
          Marco Antonio Barrera KO11
          Erik Morales KO10

          Roberto Duran's 3 best fights:

          Ken Buchanan
          Sugar Ray Leonard
          Iran Barkley

Nonsense. Don't evade my question and points. You're in denial here.

Just answer this with a simple yes or no pls.

Is Duran a "no mas" quitter?
Did Duran got beat by all the elites of his era?

If i remember correctly, Duran started at 118 and captured titles at 135, 147, 154, and 160. That would be the equivalent of Pacman fighting at 147 and winning titles at 147 over fighters like Hatton, PBF, or Cotto.

Unfortunately you cannot comprehend the obvious conditions of a fighters career, therefore I will viod your comments and continue to respond to those that manifest logical boxing knowledge, which is exemplified in posts.

                  yeah that's an understatement.

This subject is very intriguing to me, and I'ts great to hear what both sides have to say.

Thing is....I've really yet to see the numbers that influence my opinion in Pacquiao's favor.

Especially when the fighter in comparison is the greatest lightweight of all time.

I'm the biggest ****ing Erik Morales fan you'll find here. Erik, Marco, and Juan ARE NOT on the level of Hagler, Hearns and Leonard...and they never will be. I'm a fan of Pacquiao as well, he brings everything he's got to the ring every time he fights and is a very explosive guy. 50% of his fans are the ones that make it hard to speak well about him.

Duran is lightyears ahead of Pacquiao...

It has been stated several times...Pacquiao would have to go up to 147 and give a guy like Margarito complete hell for 12 rounds before finally fading down the stretch of the fight. This is the equivalent of what Duran did with Hagler. Then he'd have to come back at 147 after the close loss to Margarito and beat a guy like Miguel Cotto while flooring him to win the WBC welterweight title.

This all sounds ridiculous right? SO DOES EVEN FATHOMING THESE TWO BEING ON THE SAME LEVEL...
