That is actually true, although I think you have to say 'if' he lost.

Ricky probaly isn't scared but i know his father probaly doesn't have faith in him. I mean come on now Ricky has had 40 fights and yet his papi thinks he isn't ready? How many more fights will he need to take?

Forget that fighting in America/let him get used to the US. Like i said before just incase anyone missed it. If PBF would fight Ricky in Manchester would that mean Floyd would need 1-2 tune up fights?

Mayweather's undefeated. Castillo gave him a run for his money, though. hatton's an excellent fighter, but I don't see him beating Floyd, and I honestly think Castillo would beat him in one of the most exciting fights in many years. I think a lot of people are underestimating Hatton, and that he's the real deal, but he lacks the quickness to beat Mayweather. I would like to see Hatton-Cotto. it would be a true test of Miguel's chin, and would be a big win for either guy. The Hitman could fight a number of guys that would prove that he wants to fight the best, but if he goes after Baldomir, he's going to destroy all credibilty as a P4P threat. Castillo, Cotto, and Welterweights like Mosley (dropping to 147 after the Vargas bout) would be challenging fights for Hatton, so if he decides to take on Baldomir, it won't prove anything to the neigh-sayers.

Write Hatton off at your peril, I aswell as many other Englishman who have seen 90% of his fights no he will take Mayweather the distance, infact i'm confident Hatton would KO PBF, you underrate Hatton so much it's untrue..he'll have a couple of fights in America before finally taking on Mayweather..then you can all judge

downplaying hatton is definately a mistake. if and when this fight happens it could be one of the best fights we ever get to see. with hatton ****ing floyd up. (i hope)

Hatton was the most feared amateur in the world at his weight, he just couldn't get fights at light-welterweight because everybody was scared of him.. so he had to move up and fight 6ft junior-middleweight Jurgen Brahmer because nobody else wanted to fight him. Let's not forget that in the last five years you had Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell and Vivian Harris who just would not fight Ricky, they didn't want nothing to do with him. It's strange now though that everybody wants to fight Hatton, and sad now that he's years past his best.

Who cares about his amateur fights. Why does Hatton need 1-2 tune up fights before he takes floyd? He has 40 fights for goodness sake. It's just the old excuse saying i wanna win some easy fights before i get a loss on american soil.

He needs more American exposure to make the fight bigger.
