Floyd's conditioning is carrying him. I have yet to see a fighter push him to the limits, and until then I haven't seen technical brilliance. Technique shines through once adversity strikes, remember that.
He was carrying a lot of injuries in the first Castillo fight remember.
It was his 'off-night', every great fighter has an off-night (but he was actually carrying injuries). It's how you come back from that, and he schooled Castillo in the rematch.

He never 'schooled' Castillo. I had the fight much closer then HBO would say, because most of the people here buy into the HBO hype.

Look, I've seen Floyd throw lead uppercuts, hooks, the whole bunch. The total package makes a great fighter. The difference between Robinson, Jofre, Duran, Leonard etc. was they had the TOTAL package. They were all stylists with big punches in both hands, but they aslo had a great chin, and an ability to adapt to any style. They could box, brawl, counterpunch, bob-and-weave, whatever it took to win they could do.

Until Floyd accomplishes what all the greats have, shut the fck up about him. He will never be as 'great' as Robinson, Gans, Leonard (Benny) until his career is finished.

Both Castillo and Pretty Boy Floyd would beat Hatton.

Seriously, do you realize what you just said Juicy? Such an insult to all of the greats before Mayweather.

              Wtf is that nonsense?

You're thinking he'll opt to defend his titles against a blown up 130lber?

              pffff.

your using one bad fight, and in a fight where floyd has sever shoulder problems. pbf came back and clearly defeated castillo. castillo is a great fighter as well, but floyd proved himself better

It's funny that Mayweather haters keep bringing the first Castillo fight, for the 100th time Mayweather won the fight.

                    FACT
if hatton beats baldomir and baldomir does not lose to anyone else at 147 in the meantime, hatton is going to be the lineal champ at 140 and 147. (I wonder if he will be allowed to keep the belts though)

                    IMO
hatton is going to give floyd the fight of a lifetime. floyd is not going to toy with him because hatton is very fast at moving in the ring.

as of now, my money is on floyd.

                    PS:
cotto does not belong in the discussion, and i want to see castillo at 140 before saying anything about him.

Ricky has been using weights and if the 97-98 Ricky fought PBF it would be a different fight!
