    This.

It all comes down to accomplishments, people.

Trinidad held linear titles @ 147 & 154. Held a paper title @ 160 and would have been linear @ 160 had he not met one of the greatest 160'lbers in the history of the sport.

Cotto, OTOH, has not held a linear title ever in his career. Not once. If he wins the linear title @ 160 from Martinez - that would be quite an accomplishment - but let's put things in their proper perspective. Martinez is *39* y/o and coming off major injuries.

    Trinidad > Cotto

      He also lost to DLH.

I am betting Martinez big but give the running man credit for taking this fight.

And Tito-Vargas was better than anything Cotto has been involved with.
I can't bother to skim through the entire thread at the moment, and this is the post I most agree with.

I'd personally like to add that while I give Sergio the edge at this moment, I'm not bound to make a prediction yet. It's the only big fight I go back and forth on.

I picked Canelo to stop Angulo in the 10th.

I got Bradley losing to Pacquiao in a spirited effort with scorecards looking like 116-112, 115-113, 116-112.

I got Mayweather TKOing Maidana in the 11th.

Sergio-Cotto...? I like Cotto's jab and Sergio's hands-down style. I like Sergio's stamina and Cotto's shallow gas tank. I like Cotto's better experience and Sergio's recent vulnerabilities. I like Sergio's power and Cotto's venture into new territory. I like Cotto's catch weight clause and how Sergio has to sweat a pound at nearly age 40.

Nobody in the states is talking about this fight and it might just be the bar burner boxing fans crave.

Vargas Oscar pernell one of those are greater then any win cotto has pile his like what ten title defense's and his only losses are to hopkins ATG and winky wright borderline hof after like a year layoff and I'm not even gonna count jones because they were both so shot it didn't matter.

Cotto lost to all the best he's faced really mayweather PAC hell he lost to trout do you think Tito would lose to trout? Even if he beats Martinez it still doesn't out shine titos accomplishments to be so honest I'm not even sure cotto gets past William joppy

Greatest fighter out of PR of all time is clearly Ivan Calderon.

Cotto was old when he fought Trout, he has been past it for years now, he shouldn't even be near a ring, he is so clearly diminished and past his best.

Pacquiao is probably a greater fighter than anyone Tito faced in his career, and Cotto faced him at his absolute Peak.
