Regardless, I see a pretty similar fight. Mayweather will be far too quick in the middle of the ring and as soon as his back touches the ropes, he'll duck out. Rinse and repeat for 12 rounds.

Actually think he could stop Maidana if he commits to the body.

The fact that this is considered a "mismatch" is only testament to how great Floyd really is as a fighter. Nobody else in this division could consider Maidana a mismatch at this point.
Maidana has lost to khan and Alexander already and his best win is vs A hype job in Broner.

Bradley would box circles around him, Manny would rearrange his face, Marquez would probably beat him, Thurman would smash him... So really, he's only a top 6-7 guy at welter and a B level opponent.

            No way.

There will be no point in the fight where Maidana attemps to counter punch which was basically Guererro's initial gameplan and then when that didn't work he tried to force it but then when that didn't work resorted back to Boxing which is what his style is.

Plus Maidana has the game changer in either hand with is good power.

Maybe I have to watch that fight again but I don't remember him doing much "boxing". I remember a lot of plodding forward and swinging wildly at air after the first 3 rounds.

Bollix. He beat Floyd's boy. Maidana has wins over Morales, Broner, Ortiz, Karass and arguably Khan. Now Ortiz was a cherry pick for Floyd but Maidana is getting this shot because he deserves it. It would be wrong if Mayweather didn't acknowledge it. Maidana has been kind of dangling under the radar as a B range fighter, but recently he has shown he has much more than that.

FFS look at his fight with Karass. When in the hell have you ever seen a fighter so thoroughly modify his style between fights?

That's Guererro's style, he's a counter puncher he's not really an aggressive come forward fighter.

He came out boxing with Berto but then when he dropped him I think even he couldn't believe it so he just thought forget this I'm going to try and knock him out

The first 2 Rounds he definitely was looking to counter Floyd, trying to time Floyd coming in which of course would never work, then when that failed he then tried to take it to him but that's never going to work for him either.

Maidana's just going to come out swining from the first round.

I think it's fair to say Maidana is a lot better and effective with that style than Guererro.
