Floyd's response on his hand-picked opponents

Floyd's got a good hustle going, so he's right; if ****** casual fans are gonna keep paying for him to do what he's been doing, why would he stop doing it?Comment

Given the recent success of a relic like BHop as well as things like HGH and TRT I wouldn't discount Floyd just yet. This is something I've never understood, Roy Jones Jr won FoTD for the 90's. Was Roy Jones Jr truly the greatest fighter of the entire decade, or was he just hot at the right time? The same formula applies to Pacquiao winning FoTD for the 2000's. Like any All-Decade team a good portion comes down to who was hot and when.Comment

Manny Pacquiao was absolutely deserving of the BWAA Fighter of the Decade award when he won it, don't get it twisted. That Barrera win is probably the best win of the 2000s. My only question is how much of it had to do with being on a huge fame upswing at the time.Comment

SO who's he gonna fight after Maidana, Khan?Given the recent success of a relic like BHop as well as things like HGH and TRT I wouldn't discount Floyd just yet. If Floyd didn't retire the first time, I think he could have won it. Current dominance + Floyd retired = fighter of the decade.Comment

Great post can't fault itHe's right I mean people are still gonna pay no matter what even if its a cherry pick so he does have the right to choose who he wants to fight. But we don't have to pay to see bs fights, therefore the less people who buy ppv the less he makes. But he's going to make bank off of casuals regardless. The lack of structure in boxing has led to the top fighters being able to pick and choose easy opposition. I can't hate on him for choosing an easier pay day but I won't be buying itComment

My only problem is that Floyd is no1 without having to beat the strongest opponents without fail.
Floyd doesn't fight that often so every fight should be tougher than the other, it should always be onwards and upwards. But hes fighting Maidana now, and is Maidana much better than Shumenov who BH beat? Is maidana tougher than Pavlik who BH beat? Hes not as highly rated as JMM and Bradley that's fo sure.
Not that im disrespecting Maidanas abilities I expect him to test Floyd.Comment
