I'm starting to think some of the so-called fans are Bad for boxing.
He didn't win 'manager of the year'. It's just that Santa Cruz felt that there SHOULD be an award for that and given to Haymon. He feels Haymon is the GOAT adviser.

You obviously didn't watch it all ... SMFH!!!

Right after Santa Cruz finished ... Shaeffer clearly stated that Haymon was voted Manager of the year and that he wished Santa Cruz would present the plaque, but he doesn't make those decisions.

That video is cut short before Shaeffer finished ......

How are you going to say I didn't watch it all, and then right after that say the video got cut short.

You should've just said Schaefer said so afterwards but the video doesn't show it. I watched two different clips of the same sequence, but from different angles, and didn't see Schaefer saying any of that.

          Please link me though.

              Thanks!

I also didn't think such a thing was possible since he's technically supposed to be an 'adviser' rather than manager (even though he is).

Stop with the insults moron. Your first reply was idiotic, and then this one is idiotic as well. I posted that reply before you posted it (meaning that I was in the process of replying but seconds earlier you posted yours). And I had no idea of that obviously.

Haymon is a shrewd man but Tarver then Dawson. WTF?

These must be tax write offs.

He's referred to as an adviser, which is a smart way to avoid having to be licensed by an athletic commission and to skirt the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act. It's illegal in the U.S. to serve as a promoter and a manager, though Haymon does both.
How does having two of his fighters fight violate that?

Anyway, Haymon apparently is in fact licensed manager.
