Al Haymon isn't nearly boxing's problem. It's a lack of commission to enforce fights to happen despite promoters not wanting to match.

Imagine if the Miami Heat decided they didn't want to "do work" with The San Antonio Spurs and never played them each season just because managers didn't get along.

Actually...Hard to say what Haymon delivrs for his clients. He's one of those pieces of opacity in the boxing world. FMJ appears to have prospered, and every other signing appears to believe they're they're on the verge of the big time (Stevenson apparently believes he can become a crossover star).

After 4 years the only big success story is Floyd, though it's apparent that many guys have bought the rainbows.

Make no mistake, this isn't an attack on Haymon, or even a suggestion that there's anything wrong with him, but he ain't some kinda wizard who can magic boxing revenue outta the ether.

I'm old enough to remember when Don King was supposed to have the 'magic touch'..and well...you see where I'm going

The first fight literally put me to sleep as did the second one, try being up at 3/4am watching that garbage fight when you're already tired, it gives absolutely no incentive to even fight the tiredness but more to help you drift off in a calm sleep.

I still want Dawson vs Campillo. That's a decent knockout-safe boxing match for both.

He gets them paid simple, this isn't about Mayweather. He gets his fighters opportunity because he is well connected and gets them well paid. Other fighters are not ****** enough to sign him up as their manager, Maidana is also one and he just got his opportunity against Broner.

I hope to see Chad bounce back and get some good wins under his belt before retiring.
