Not in terms of training, but because both guys used to be beloved for being shy non talkative types in the corner, but once they got some fame on them they changed, Roach used to be the type who hated trash talk and was always silent now he talks all this stuff, same thing with Hunter dude has been dropping bombs lately and talking a lot.

Why did these guys go from being non talkative shy trainers to brash talkative guys? I guess its true what they say fame and praise can change a person
I think its just because they get interviewed much more often when they become some kind of Star-Trainer.

Surely If he hasn't fought anyone of note he wouldn't be at such a privilege to that type of fight?

He (Ward) said to Adonis who had a massive year in 2013 that he needs some more big fights before he is willing to fight him what is so different about GGG and Adonis?
      Legitimate question.
Strangest thing isn't it? GGG is simultaneously both unproven (having fought a series of 'cans' or whatever these so called boxing fans call his opponents) and required to fight the consensus #2 P4P fighter from a weight division above his own in order to 'prove' himself. Makes perfect sense.

I just find it sad when fans do this X ducking Y thing - Hunter saying GGGs team are 'picking and choosing' is simply absurd, since of course this is what all promoters and managers do, Wards included. To step from 'picking and choosing' to 'ducking' however is a sign of how petty many posters on boxing forums have become.

No real arguing with it though - people trying to push an agenda (or just plain trolling) can't be reasoned with, and stooping to calling other fighters the same ridiculous names just exacerbates the problem...NSB is almost unreadable at times.

      • Chavez Jr vs GGG is a more fan friendly fight! This fght makes sense. Chavez JR is going to go toe to toe. GGG is an all action fighter who will go toe to toe.
Me as a boxing fan I would rather see an all action war between two fighters that come and bring it all.

Ward is a great fighter. But he is not willing to go toe to toe.
The ward fight will always be there for either fighter.

It's GGG's fans that have gone overboard in hyping him up. Calling him the best, the most fearsome, the most avoided fighter in the sport etc etc.

But when some of us point out that he hasn't really beaten anyone great as of yet...and that he has an elite foe (Ward) who is actually interested in facing him....then we are the ones who are trolling or have an agenda.

            • If all goes accordingly, Golovkin will fight Ward some time next year. How is that a duck? What you haters gotta say now?

              • 20 pages of GGG fanboys trying to justify this duck. It would have been so much easier to simply say he's not ready for Ward at this point and keep pushin'. But ya'll muthaf.uckas on here b1tchin' about Ward will and won't fight. And all that is irrelevant. The topic at hand is Ward is ready, willing, and able to fight GGG. And GGG don't want none. #endthread

EXACTLY, people call everyone else ducking if they ever went this far with the ducking. He's scared lol first the machine, now this at least the machine got in the ring and wasnt making excuses. P4P calling him out, he wanted to fight #1p4p but only because hes smaller. This guy is a JOKE.

                  • Considering that Gennady is overseas in a period of bereavement, and considering that his April fight has been cancelled, and considering that Abel Sanchez himself said GGG isn't even willing to discuss boxing at this point to determine when his next bout will be until his 40 day bereavement period, considering that all this talk about Arum wanting GGG to fight Chavez Jr came out very recently, can someone please tell me where on earth it quotes Gennady Golovkin or Abel Sanchez saying, yes we will consider JCC? Can anyone show me a link or a post anywhere? Cause as far as I know this talk has all been from Bob Arum and JCC.

                    • The article says very clearly, if he fights JCC its picking and choosing. No one from GGG's camp has said anything about moving up weight to fight JCC anytime soon, if at all.. ******s
