He's a lightweight who's last two fights were against mediocre competition. Rios just lost to Pacquiao how is Demarco a better opponent than Rios? It's a much safer opponent because his team is trying to get a big money fight with Marquez/PAC/Bradley.

No one really cares about titles it's not like Ruslan holds a legitimate title nor is he in a position to pick opponents. It's hypocritical of his team to avoid Rios for Demarco. Rios is the biggest name he can fight at this point regardless of his losses it's a fight everyone wants to see, well almost everyone.

If you want to use that argument and go down the WBO rankings for an opponent it would be Provodnikov v Jason Pagara - no one wants to see that, least of all Team Provodnikov.

It would be a hell of a fight, but Ruslan wanting to fight at 140 where he's won his title shouldn't be a surprise. It's kinda for Rios to make 140 if it's a fight he wants, but I think he's now big for a WW.

He beat a guy who won an interim title. Maybe the correct word isn't legit but rather a proven champion since he has one good win at that weight.

Call out Marquez on Twitter saying he's a coward if he doesn't fight him yet after Rios agrees to all terms Ruslans team doesn't want the fight because it's not beneficial to them. It's the same scenario both camps want an easier fight(Marquez/Ruslan).
