He lost a SD to a seasoned world champion in his 2nd fight. He went 12 rounds with ease after only 1 fight. Even though he lost he's probably learnt and achieved more in his first 2 fights than any new pro has. You could say he was arrogant to think he could fight for a world title after 2 fights but its a refreshing change from an ameture fighter fighting 20 cans before stepping up.Comment

Respect to you...and now we know that everyone who wrote him off after this performance is a fool and Loma made them eat their words.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmIm not so sure about that, he is very tentative, and doesn't really have the the kind of outside technical skills of 2 time gold medalist.
In the AMA's he was able to get by stopping everyone left and right because he was able to walk in with ear muffs and put together very accurate combinations to get people standing counts.
I don't think he will ever be able to box and move from the outside for 12 rounds to win fight, which is what will be required for him to succeed without power.
It is very clear after last night that he doesn't have the power, AT ALL. It wasn't even a situation where he was throwing hard and Salido just has a great chin. Loma is just visibly is an arm puncher, with no snap.
He just unfortunately doesn't have the power to make the kind of aggressive style is is famous for work in the Pro ranks.Comment
